How the sport of Bikejoring came into being

The sport originated from the train dog sport with skis or sledges. Fortunately, you can practice bikejoring, which is still a relatively new sport, almost all year round. The condition is that the temperatures are not too high. A good bike is one of the prerequisites. You can take a mountain bike, but also a sturdy touring bike or city bike will do for a start.

The towing line must be sturdy

The pulling line connects the bike to your dog. It must withstand a lot. It is attached to the harness of the animal, the other end you lead best through a bike antenna to the head tube of your bike. (A bike antenna keeps the pull line at a distance and prevents it from getting tangled in the front wheel or dragging on the ground). We carry pull lines for one as well as two or three dogs, all of which have built-in shock absorbers so any shock is cushioned. If your dog likes to run and pull, he'll love bikejoring.
