Ruffwear has implemented an elastic core inside that extends without shock to let dogs run out further. Size M extends from 1.7 to 2.1 meters (5.5-7 ft) and size L extends from 2.2 to 3.4 meters (7.3-11 ft), allowing dogs the room they need to move. Mainly have the line for hiking and walking. The longer length is ideal. I don't think the upper end is ideal for holding in the hand, but it is functional as a jogging line around the body. However, the dog should have learned not to pull, otherwise the leash will soon be exhausted. The lower hand strap is limited usable for dogs with a shoulder height of 52 cm. Suitably for dogs from 55 cm shoulder height. For me, the leash is ideal for longer tours where the dog has to stay on a leash. I am almost totally satisfied with the product except that I can put the strap around my waist but not around my wrist (I probably misunderstood that). Then you can only take the loop in your hand and loosely attach it around your wrist... For jogging and inline-skating it is great! And fulfils exactly the purpose! I also like the hand strap to take it short! :)
In normal everyday life, I don't use the leash because my one-year-old Goldie lady tends to pull and wants to take advantage of the full length of the leash ;)
But with continuous movements like running or skating she stays with me and the gathering in the leash really dampens jerky movements!

Unfortunately the traffic control is too short for my dog (stick size of about 40 cm). So either I have to bend over or I have to grab the line at the rubber banding. Will still be my new companion on our hikes. There is a big plus in handling for adjusting the leash from hand loop to waist belt.

I have never enjoyed jogging on a leash so much!
Our little diva is very headstrong and defiant and just has to run. I have always been horrified by the springtime, when I had to take a leash. She usually bucks around on every leash, but she immediately accepted it. No more pulling and abrupt stopping. Not even the squirrels had to be stared to death for hours anymore :D

I bought the leash together with a Ruffwear harness, because I wanted to go hiking with my Golden male. I'm very happy with it. I can walk very well with the dog on the leash and walking sticks in my hand and we both have sufficient freedom of movement. The line is stretchy and can withstand a lot. Like almost all Ruffwear products, this leash is well thought-out. It is perfect for jogging, as it can be quickly and easily adjusted to the waist width. The buckle for it hooks in well and the leash can twist well around the body because of the good position of the buckle, if the dog changes the side ! The elasticity of the leash allows the dog to move well, but the end comes abruptly if necessary. Not for dogs who quickly pull the leash if the resistance seems too low.
