Ruffwear Grip Trex are simply the first choice
Ruffwear’s Grip Trex™ all-terrain dog boots were developed for really sporty dogs to race over hill and dale, either with their human companions, other play mates or alone. The manufacturer Ruffwear has further improved its earlier models and added a sturdy Vibram grip-sole to the Grip Trex™ dog boots. The breathable mesh surface has become even more durable as well. For snow activities, trekking, jogging with the owner or for competition, these dog shoes are simply the first choice. These dog boots are perfectly drained and extra breathable
The Grip Trex™ are now made from extra strong upper material, which forms a tightly woven “air mesh” protection to prevent ingress of dirt, while it is still extra breathable. In order for the boots to last longer, Ruffwear has now made the lateral gauntlets from one piece and equipped them with reflectors, so that you can follow your best friend well through darkness. Waist and shoe size fit almost all dogs, adjustable Velcro and additional cuffs made from Kew-Tec Synthetic pigskin provide safety and add a tight fitting to the all-terrain dog boot. The boots are machine washable (ideally use a washing bag, cycle gentle, air dry).Measurement guide Ruffwear Grip Trex™ (set of 4):

1. Let your dog stand on a flat surface.
2. Put a piece of paper under one of the front paws.
3. Gently lift the opposite paw so that the paw the being measured lays flat under bearing weight.
4. Mark with a pencil the widest part of the paw on both sides.
5. Now you can easily measure the distance between the two marks with a ruler.
6. Repeat the same steps for one of the hind paws (these are often smaller). If necessary you can also order the Ruffwear Grip Trex in a set of 2.

1. without a sock the shoe always slips down, which prevents the dog from running (he often stumbles). So you have to adjust the shoe every 10 minutes :(.
2. the fastener sits directly on the wolf claw. I don't think the dog enjoys it. If the shoe slips down, I have doubts that the wolf claw is hurt.
3. with a sock (also from Ruff Wear) the shoe fits very well, the wolf claw is also protected, but....the sock always slides down and forms wrinkles, which is also uncomfortable when walking.
We only tried the shoes during the short walks (1-1.5 hours). First they landed in the closet and lie there unused. That is really annoying with the price.
Maybe I will find a way to get the shoes non-slip at some point. At the moment we walk barefoot :). (Posted on 12/16/2018) - LabradorReview by Gurke [translated review]

To help my dog get used to it, I walked only small distances for the first two weeks, which I slowly increased, so that I could always control the fit of the shoes. Until then everything was still great and I was totally thrilled, because my dog ran casually and loosely over gravel roads too. After a somewhat longer distance on horseback it happened and the dew claw rubbed bloodily.
So I tried out the bigger size, because the paws of my dog are different in size (deviation of 2mm). Then I put on the socks in the bigger shoes. I wasn't really satisfied with that either, because the socks on the larger paw keep slipping downwards, no matter how high you pull it. So now I have two pairs of dog shoes at home, which I unfortunately can't use for the actual purpose - riding out together without having to get down every few meters and look after my dog's paws. The booties look very well made, I assume that they won't be destroyed so quickly.
The fit is also well thought-out, they will always stay on the paw when walking - I hope even at higher Canicross speeds, but I still have to find out.
Advice, service and delivery time were great as always! (Posted on 8/23/2017) - Labrador working lineReview by Katrin G. [translated review]
